Sibling Day event highlights

Happy National Siblings Day! 🎉  

Back in February, we hosted our first Siblings' Day – a day dedicated to the amazing brothers and sisters of the young people at Chailey Heritage Foundation. It's all about fun, connection, and creating a space where siblings can truly be themselves and bond with others who understand their experiences. 

As Jess, our LSC Manager, explains, "Siblings of children with disabilities often have a different experience of childhood... That’s why we’ve created this day so they can have time to be themselves, make friends, and enjoy some well-deserved fun.” 

Our first event was a huge success! We had parachute games, creative art, an epic Laser Tag showdown, pizza-fuelled chats, football, hula hooping, and even a visit from some incredible animals! The day was all about building confidence, friendships, and letting siblings know we're always here for them. 

Guess what? We're doing it again! 🎉 

Our next Siblings' Day is on June 8th for siblings of young people at Chailey Heritage School or Futures.
