A Futures Day Out To Herstmonceux

27 Jun 2018

It was a fantastic warm day for a trip to Herstmonceux where so many of the exhibits are outdoor and hands on. Our Young Adults explored sound, movement, and water, building on their understanding of cause and effect. That’s exactly what Charlie did as he caused a storm by putting his hand on the lightning disc. Liam enjoyed feeling the vibrations and sounds from the Lithophone and using the hammer to hit the stone bars which is an ancient form of music making. Down the road from the Science Centre is Herstmonceux Castle, so we took a detour on the way home to have a look and get a few snaps. The gang had a great day out, enjoying the fresh air and each other’s company as science was brought to life. We highly recommend this local attraction.
