- Grab your woolly hat to wear on 9th December
From bog standard beanies, to novelty Christmas pudding styles or even a stylish ski hat, nothing is off limits.
- Wear your hat with pride and why not get classmates or colleagues, family members or friends on board
The more the merrier. Working from home? Don’t let that stop you! Add some pizazz to your Zoom call and still take part with colleagues.
- Please donate £2
All we ask is that everyone who takes part donates just £2 so that we can support young people with complex disabilities this Christmas.
OR you can donate by BACS transfer, email firstname.lastname@example.org for our bank details. If you are collecting cash, just call us on 01825 724752.
Absolutely! The more funds we can raise, the better. You could:
- Host a Christmas quiz on a video call with your colleagues or friends. Ask everyone to contribute an entry fee, and donate what you raise.
- Take on a challenge whilst wearing your woolly hat, whether a 5k run, a bracing sea swim or a hilly hike. Set up a justgiving page and get sponsored.
Got another idea? Don’t keep it under your hat. Get in touch with the team, we’re here to help. Email email@example.com or call for a chat on 01825 724752.
Have fun safely and remember that wherever and whenever you raise funds, make sure you adhere to government Covid-19 guidance.
We want to see you showing off your best headgear on Woolly Hat Wednesday so please share your photos with us. Wherever you wear your hat, grab a snap and share it on facebook, twitter or Instagram. And don’t forget the hashtag #WHW. You can also tag our accounts:
You can have a Woolly Hat day on any day. You could even have a Woolly Hat Week, it’s up to you. The most important thing is that you get involved, have some fun and raise funds for young people at Chailey Heritage Foundation.
£2 could fund some lavender seeds to plant in the gardens of our residential bungalows. Scented plants are great for young people who live at Chailey Heritage Foundation to enjoy, especially those who have hearing or visual impairments.
£20 could pay for Christmas decorations so that we can bring some festive cheer to the young people who live at Chailey Heritage Foundation.
£40 could pay for a music therapy session, giving pupils in our special school, many of whom have little or no speech, the chance to express themselves through sound.
