Volunteer - Trike Maintenance

Job Summary

The use of specially adapted tricycles is a valuable part of the school curriculum that enables a large percentage of the young people at CHF to receive physiotherapy, practice their coordination skills, and make choices about where they would like to go.

This role would suit an enthusiastic and motivated person who has a keen interest in bike/trike maintenance and repair, and would like to join our Estates Team.

Volunteers will working independently undertaking various tasks, including:

  • Regular assessment of CHF tricycles (approx 90) Day to day servicing which will include oiling chains, inflating tyres, repairing/replacing inner tubes, ‘diagnostic’ checking etc.
  • Documenting any work carried out
  • Working closely with the Equipment Co-ordinator to establish an ongoing maintenance schedule
