Subject Specific Learning

A small minority of children who are working at a subject specific level will have targets related to these subjects, particularly Reading (symbols or words), Speaking & Listening (using alternative and augmentative communication systems, high and low-tech) and Maths (in particular functional skills such as telling the time and using money). There is no pre-determined set of expectations for the children in these subjects. As with the rest of the CHILD curriculum, these targets are personalised to each child ensuring that they are meaningful.
