What We Offer
Through Chailey Heritage Residential we are able to offer short breaks, which consists of an overnight stay. This is available to both pupils at Chailey Heritage School and children from the wider community with complex health and physical needs from the ages of 3 to 19 years.
During an overnight stay with us, the children and young people have full access to Chailey Heritage Foundation's facilities and planned activities. This can include the hydrotherapy pool, wheelchair football, multisensory studio and outings.
The health needs of young people accessing short breaks with us are supported by 24/7 nursing support, which could include specialist training for our support staff, provided by Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.

How Do I Access It?
Routes to short breaks at Chailey can vary depending on funding. We can be approached by parents directly, local authorities or continuing health care. Parents are able to fund overnight stays from personal budgets or privately.
An assessment process will ensure we are able to meet the health and social cards needs of young people applying for short breaks. All short breaks are also subject to availability and funding being in place for both Chailey Heritage Residential and Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.
If you are interested in accessing short breaks with us, please get in touch to arrange an informal visit so we can show you around.
