A huge thank you to James and Laura who ran the Brighton Marathon for us on Sun 12th September. Between them they have raised nearly £3,000 to support the children and young people here.

“It was such a long time coming, after multiple date changes due to the pandemic causing scrapped training plans with injuries in the mix. I can’t tell you the relief I felt crossing that line, but the bigger emotion was pride. Doing something for a greater cause than oneself matters so much, so to raise money for the place I’ve worked at for over 3 years felt like such a privilege. The children and young people at Chailey have their own marathon challenges daily, what’s a few hours of my own discomfort for such a fab cause!”

“It was a great privilege raising money for Chailey Heritage Foundation as an opportunity to support their incredible work which has a profound impact on the lives of young people with complex needs. Running Brighton Marathon 2021 was a really positive experience for me. It gave me an opportunity to get a bit fitter with a target to shoot for. Brighton is a great city to run through and I was blown away by the level of support given by the people of the city. They created a carnival atmosphere which added to the whole experience (even though I was very happy when it was over!)”
Well done Laura and James and thank you so much for your support!
