Hey - it takes more than a global pandemic to stop the Hanbury panto from going ahead!
The whole department joins on Microsoft Teams every week to go through the panto story. We even have students joining in from home, which is great! Rehearsals will start over Teams after half term.
Every student has their own sensory tray of key items that feature in the story, just to bring it alive.
This year we can’t have a live audience, but that's no problem. We have plans afoot to live stream the performance from four different classrooms.
As most of you know, the panto story always remains a strict secret until the day of performance, and this year is no exception. All I will say is that this year the two halves of the cow will need to be socially distant and you can expect to see the usual guest stars in their full glory; Al the wrestler and Deputy Headteacher, Richard Green.
It’s a different way of working but it keeps us on our toes and is still lots of fun.
