The children attending our Holiday Club this summer had a great time, the children were able to express their creativity and explore their senses with a busy activity timetable.
This years summer holiday club ran for 6 days, with an average of 12 children attending each day.
Activities inlcuded the Immersive Space being transformed into a Quidditch arena for a Harry Potter themed experience, there were many creative activities with sensory themes, children casted and decorated their own cement stepping stones, mixed and explored gooey slime and made noisy wind chimes from cutlery.
There was also a wonderful water themed sensory music session with school music teacher Yvonne, children could explore the sounds and vibrations of instruments and with the help of water spray and fabric were transported to the sea.
There were also some very delicious-smelling, and tasting (for those lucky enough to try some) mint chocolate rocky roads being created. Lastly, on the final day a silent disco was held.
The holiday club is partly funded through the generous support of our donors. Please find out more about how you can help support us here.
