Spade in the Ground Ceremony

17 May 2018

Celebrating the start of construction on the D.R.E.A.M. Centre, we were delighted to have guests come to the building site in Chailey on the 17th May 2018.

Guests included the major trusts and foundations who first helped kick-start the project back in 2016, trustees, staff and also the Seymour boccia team.

They were treated to short talks about how the D.R.E.A.M. Centre will help the young people at Chailey Heritage Foundation and fundraising for the £3,100,000 target. After the talks, guests were invited inside of the construction site by Sunninghill (our contractor) to see first-hand how much progress has been made.

It was a fantastic sunny day for all and the children loved seeing the diggers up close! Thank you to all our amazing supporters who attended.

The D.R.E.A.M. Centre will be a modern, purpose-built space for children and young people with complex disabilities to take part in a mixture of arts and physical activities.

The D.R.E.A.M. Centre will be a dream come true for many of the young people at CHF, including Ellie. Ellie loves being part of a team and thrives on social interaction and with her competitive streak, dreams of competing at the highest level. The D.R.E.A.M. Centre will be jam-packed with sporting and physical activities that Ellie and the young people will love.

We still need to raise the final £200,000 to fit out and equip the new centre with all the amazing bespoke equipment. With the support of a generous donor, we are matching every donation received pound for pound. For more information, please email
