On 17th July 2019 the young adults from Carol and Helen's class in Hanbury department at Chailey Heritage School took a trip on the train to Eastbourne.
During the spring term, the young people had earnt some money through their soup making enterprise. The class held a vote as to how they wanted to spend their earnings and the almost unanimous decision was to go to the seaside by train.
In Eastbourne they enjoyed a little retail therapy at the new shopping centre. Then they walked along the pier and dabbled with the machines.
