As one of the chosen charities as beneficiaries of this year’s Midsummer Ball, we were thrilled to attend at the Hilton Brighton Metropole on 23rd June 2018.
The Midsummer Ball is a charity event in aid of young people in Sussex and has been organised by the team at Hilton Brighton Metropole, in partnership with the DM Thomas Foundation for Young People. The other beneficiary charities were Action Medical Research, Chestnut Tree House and the Starr Trust.
With the theme of this year’s ball being ‘A Night of Nashville’ we were treated to a fantastic competition of singing and dancing. The pairs of competitiors each represented one of the four charities and battled it out to win the votes of the judges and guests.
For Chailey Heritage Foundation, we had the wonderful Karen Thorne (of C.J Thorne & Co.) and Stuart Dawes (from the Brighton Academy) kicking off the competition with the boot-tapping classic, ‘Nine to Five’. You can still show your support by visiting their online giving page.
As well as the entertainment, guests were treated to a delicious three course meal and opportunities for fundraising throughout the night. The proceeds will be split between the four charities.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Karen, Stuart, C.J Thorne & Co. and everyone else who attended the ball for Chailey Heritage Foundation. We hope you enjoyed the night as much as we did!
