Last week, Chailey Heritage Foundation had a kind donation of 80 face shields from Ricardo, an engineering consultancy with a technical centre in Shoreham-by-Sea.
Ricardo has repurposed two of their technical centres to design and manufacture face shields to donate to care homes and the NHS. They have used their engineering design expertise to produce bespoke face shields that offer enhanced comfort during extended periods of wear.
Phil Mortimer, Technical Business Manager at Ricardo, said “We are delighted to be able to provide Chailey Heritage Foundation with this PPE for their key workers to help them to continue the great work they do each and every day. Supporting our local communities is a part of what Ricardo stands for and we are proud of our peoples’ response in volunteering to be part of this project and to re-purpose our facilities to support this cause.”
We thank Ricardo for their generous support.
Jackie Hall, Director of Social Care at Chailey Heritage Foundation, said “we are very grateful indeed to Ricardo for their kind donation of visors. It has come at just the right time for us as the guidance has changed for care homes and we will now need more PPE than we first thought. The kindness in the community is quite staggering, we wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those involved in helping the Charity during this crisis.”
