Part of the Easter Holiday Club, some of the pupils from Chailey Heritage School enjoyed a day full of activities on the 10th April 2018.
After a morning of swimming, the young people met some furry friends when they came face-to-face with the guinea pigs from Patchwork Farm. While some of the young people had the guinea pigs in their laps, others were able to stroke them and enjoy the sensory experience of their fur.
Shortly after the fun with the animals, the young people took part in an eggs-cellent treasure hunt. Following a route that took them around the school site, the young people had to figure out clues to find lots of little goodies along the way.
The last prize of the hunt was a hand-knitted bunny for each of the young people. These were donated by a very kind lady who made them for the children here at Chailey Heritage Foundation. We’d like to take this chance to say thank you – the children absolutely adored them!
We all had a fantastic time at Holiday Club this Easter and the young people went home with plenty of treats for themselves, as well as for mum and dad!
