Hanbury students enjoyed a visit from the Christmas For Kids performers today (Thursday 6th December).
They came all the way down from London to put on a fantastic Christmas-themed show for the students; with a high level of sensory content and lots of audience participation encouraged, it proved to be a production which lots of the students could enjoy and engage with. For all of our students who have Next Steps focusing on participation in different and new activities, this experience provided a great opportunity for development towards this. The three young performers used lights, music, puppets, and lots of touchy-feely props to convey their story about a character called Harry. All of the Hanbury students had the chance to be involved and this was followed by some classroom work on communication using CCS, for those who have Next Steps in this area.
