We had a wonderful outing to the Depot cinema in Lewes. Three young people from the Hanbury department went to the dementia screening of “White Christmas” and they were treated to interactive theatre, a goody bag of props to explore, dancing, singing and refreshments – oh and the film – all for £4 each (carers free)!
The screening was at a lovely relaxed pace so that people could come and go as they pleased and shout out whenever they wanted. We even had an interval with an opportunity to dance! It was great for our young people to meet and interact with new people There was space for our wheelchairs, the access was easy-peasy and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
We will be back – especially as the next one is Mama Mia!
