Hanbury department at Chailey Heritage School had a fabulous day at the South of England show last week, which offered things to explore with all our senses – food, drinks and sweets to smell and taste, garden ornaments to listen to, animals to feel (and smell!), lots to look at! There was even a giant banana walking around!!
For many of thr young people it was an opportunity to encounter farm animals different to those at our school farm, such as cows. Some experienced a cream tea in one of the tents and others experienced new flavours of frozen yoghurt and of fudge.
There was so much to do the day wasn’t long enough! We’ll be back next year!
