The children and young people at Chailey Heritage Foundation have been getting used to the new Immersive Space facility in the Dream Centre. A wide range of scenarios have been created, all with various purposes. Bespoke content based on the young people’s interests and educational needs form the majority of the scenes; from photo-realistic scenes of nature to purpose-built sensory stories to more abstract visual stimuli.
M1 in St Martin’s have been exploring Michael Rosen’s We’re Going On A Bear Hunt story in the totally immersive environment.
Ryan in Hanbury has been using his love of numbers to help him achieve his physical ‘My Next Steps’ targets of standing and walking unaided.
Young adults from Futures have been enjoying their personal interests of patterns, colours and music to relax and spend some time out of their wheelchairs.
Mark - our Content Researcher & Developer - is constantly getting requests from the children and young people across the Foundation which keeps him very busy! Keep those requests coming in!
