Sensory Christmas Story

09 December 2020

The St Martin’s children took part in a sensory nativity experience outside this year. They followed a star (Emma M3), explored the lights with Angel Gabriel (Amy M2) knocked on the friendly Innkeeper’s door (Hannah M5) and smelled and tasted mince pies and festive mulled Ribena. Then they met the shepherd (Julie M1) with his sheep, heard the noises and felt the wool. After meeting the Wise man (Helen M3) with his incense they headed over to the stable in time to see Mary (Iveta M4) with her baby where the donkeys ate their hay and everyone sang Away in a Manger. It was a magical experience for all. Thank you to Lesley, Grant and Nick for bringing up George and Joe the donkeys, Fred and Ginger the goats masquerading as sheep and Nik Nak the Shetland pony.
