Jemma and Paula’s class in Hanbury at Chailey Heritage School had a visit from The Body Shop at Home to try out the range. The young people interacted with Sharon, the consultant who came to give makeovers and show the products. They enjoyed smelling and trying different products, indicating what they would like to try and buy.
Frankie (pictured in pink) particularly enjoyed the session. She was very calm and clear about what she wanted to do. Frankie was so relaxed and happy as she had her make up applied by Sharon.
The group gave thanks to Sharon using communication aids, their voices and signs to say what they had enjoyed. The morning linked with next steps to communicate with unfamiliar people, try new things, make choices, recognise and use money and also use communication devices.
Everyone is looking forward to their products arriving in the post!
