A team of six dedicated employees from Linden Homes (part of the Vistry Group) took on their very own Three Peaks Challenge earlier this month. Joined by two drivers, the intrepid adventurers set off to reach the summit of Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Snowdon in Wales with an aim of completing it in 24 hours.
The team managed to complete the challenge in 23 hours and 55 minutes. Cutting it fine was an understatement. Vistry battled the elements throughout the challenge but got back down to the bottom of Snowden at 8:55am.
The team put their heads together to think of a challenge which they could do which would not only push themselves out of their comfort zone but would also be a great way of raising money for Chailey Heritage Foundation. Oliver Bardsley, Land Trainee, said “It was tough but worth it for a great cause! Chailey Heritage Foundation is our company’s chosen charity and having had to cancel this year’s charity golf day and clay pigeon shoot due to coronavirus, the team felt it was only right to find another way to raise funds.”
They have, to date, raised a very impressive £8,400 for Chailey Heritage Foundation. Funds raised by the team will help us ensure we can continue to provide experiences and resources for young people with complex disabilities and health needs. Thank you to all of the team, their drivers and everyone who sponsored them.
