CHF resident Katy attended art for the first time last week. She had a sensory session whereby she explored many textures and sounds such as light and sparkle, water and paint. The session was led very much by Katy, she could choose the items and materials that she wished to interact with. Katy spent as much time as she wished on particular areas that held her interest.
Throughout the whole session Katy stayed engaged, focused and was very eager to reach out and explore. One of her “next steps” is to reduce the use of her comfort flicky which she did not use at all for the session. Amazing work Katy!
I look forward to seeing Katy again soon.
