Since returning to school the young people in Hanbury 2, Jemma and Helen’s class, have been adapting activities. Extra consideration is taken with completing as many of the activities that they would normally do in the best way that is safe for the staff and young people. The group have been working outside as much as possible in good weather to complete tasks at the farm, maintaining the Hanbury balcony, driving wheelchairs, word puzzles in the riding area, creating an insect hotel and particularly enjoyed giving the pigs the pumpkins after Halloween!
The young people have made happiness boxes which they have put in items from home and other objects they can use and enjoy and its just for them. In the last few weeks they have reinstated the tuck shop but have taken extra care with cleaning, space and safety and even wash the money before it is used in the shop!
