At the Life Skills Centre we are now running regular Exercise/Circuit training classes on a Thursday from 10-10.45am. All the sessions are being held in the Dream Centre.
All classes begin with an initial warm up of lower body and upper body mobility work. Each of the customers then work through a series of 6-8 workout stations focusing on improving strength, cardiovascular performance, increasing range of movement and co-ordination. All sessions are designed for the customers to have fun while working out at the same time with added game stations thrown in such as new age kurling and skittles as well as boxing, weight work and stretching.
We then often finish with a competition involving one of our many games or a weight or boxing event to keep the competitive spirit high amongst the group.
