On Friday 21st Feb a Compass Card Fun day was held at The Dream Centre.
This came about after a chance meeting at a recent Sussex Disability Sports Networking Event between Chailey Heritage Foundation and Compass Card staff. What followed was the idea for a fully accessible event aimed at families with children and young people from 0 – 25 living in Sussex.
On the day there were multiple families, eighty six registered attendees, with a wide range of disabilities. The families enjoyed a range of activities put on by volunteers and CHF staff and it was a lovely day!
Activities included; various arts and crafts, lively play & sing along Music sessions, cake decorating, stories in the immersive space, bubbles and fun games, whilst Patchwork Farm animals were brought up to be cuddled and stroked by visitors on the day.
It really was a fabulous day and it was great to see so many happy faces!
