Candle-making during Art Sessions

21 December 2020

During the past few weeks, lots of fantastic Christmas crafts have been created. Some of the young people are making candles as gifts. This multi-sensory activity involves melting soy wax, choosing their favourite fragrance and then stirring to blend the mixture together. This is all heated to a specific temperature and then poured into the young people’s chosen pots, where they will set overnight. Once cooled, they can then decorate or wrap them up however they wish.

The boxes and bags were donated by nearby wholesale gift box company, the Tiny Box Company came in really useful for this project, providing beautiful wrapping for these festive gifts. If your company would like to know more about donating gifts in kind to Chailey Heritage Foundation, drop us a line.
