Gym Challenges

During our gym sessions we have been busy setting challenges and goals for 2018 for all of our gym users. This is in the form of short term goals that we aiming to hit by Easter, medium term goals that we are aiming to reach by the end of the summer and long term goals to try and reach by the end of the year.

Everyone has 3 goals that vary depending on their individual programme that fitness instructors Dan and Charles help take all of our gym users through their exercises and programmes. The goals range from reaching a certain boxing score, a distance set score on any of our cardiovascular machines, performing a set number of resistance exercises or knocking down skittles in a certain number of shots.

We are pleased to say that one of our regular gym users, Kathryn reached all of her targets this week, consisting of:


  1.     2km sprint in 5mins on a bike at resistance level 5
  2.     Completing 80 high knee raises in 90 seconds
  3.     Completing 12 repetitions of the Lat-Pull Down on weight 12.5kg
