Rob has been a regular gym user for the past 3 years. Prior to coming into the gym, Rob found running quite a struggle and would easily got out of breath after doing a light jog. Since being a regular gym user for over 3 years Rob has lost an amazing 5 stone in weight and significantly increased his all-round fitness. We set Rob a January short term challenge to complete a 5km run in 23mins which he managed to complete last month.
Rob wanted to further challenge himself so he has now signed up for the Focus 10K run. Bearing in mind Rob has not taken part in any long distance running before, we set him a target of completing the run in under 55mins. Rob has been training hard over the past month, completing various cross training, strength and core training sessions as well as a number of long runs. Rob last week was able to complete his first 8km run in 40mins and is very much looking forward to challenging himself at the event.
