Nettle Soup and Ivy Tea

Some of the young people in Hanbury had another wonderful outing to Forest School. This time they foraged in the woods and made a salad using dandelions and violets, a tea using ground ivy and a soup out of nettles and Jack in the hedge weed (poor man’s mustard)!

All were delicious and nutritious – and cheap!

We followed on the theme by making another pot of nettle soup the following day after picking nettles and Jack in the hedge from Dan’s memorial garden
