Our annual run was a success!

Our annual run was a success!

Returning for its 2nd year, the Focus 10K at Borde Hill was a great success last Sunday (2nd June)! Over 600 runners registered, taking on either a 10k or 5k or children’s Mini Mile.

Runners and spectators soaked up the atmosphere in our race village after the run. With food and drink on sale, a face painter and circus activities there was plenty to keep people smiling whilst the sun shone down!

Well done and thank you to everyone who took part and raised sponsorship. To date, we have raised over £12,000 with more funds still coming in. All of the funds raised will help us to fund a new adapted minibus, which will enable young people with complex disabilities to travel to inclusive sporting tournaments, go on school trips and much more.

Congratulations to our winners:

  • 10k Male: Michael Blaszczuk – 38:48
  • 10k Female: Heather Stevens – 47:06
  • 5k Male: Nate Donougher – 22:20
  • 5k Female: Sally Jeffrey – 22:48
  • Mini Mile Male: George Gilbert – 06:50
  • Mini Mile Female: Tessa Baillie-Hamilton – 7:45
