Celebration Day 2017

Children from Chailey Heritage School came together with staff, family, friends and the young adults from Chailey Heritage Futures for the Charity’s annual celebration day to recognise the efforts and achievements made by all.

The theme this year was the 60s era and everyone got into the swing of the dress code and enjoyed the carnival atmosphere.

Awards presented on the day recognised not only the tremendous efforts and achievements in areas such as communication and powered wheelchair driving, but also the care and affection shown to one another and those around them, often in the face of very serious and demanding challenges and circumstances.

Simon Yates, Headteacher of Chailey Heritage School commented:

“Celebration Day is such a wonderful occasion; these young people never cease to amaze me, they are so determined to pursue their potential and what’s truly inspiring is just how much heart they show towards their peers and those of us lucky enough to be around them.”
